Is it wise to switch to a PowerBook 15-inch SuperDriver (M8981LL/A) for Java development?

  • Oracle 9i is only available in "developer edition", and TOAD does not run on Mac OS X.
  • No Microsoft Encarta on Mac OS X
  • Screen resolution of 1280x854 on 15", while you can get 1400x1200 on 15" in the PC world

  • CPU speed? How does a G4 1.25 GHz compare to a Pentium M 1.7 GHz?
