Updates
Updated 05/02/02 - IMHO, the most annoying bugs right now are:
Browser
- Some pages don't work (Canal+, eHub) or are displayed incorrectly (WL
console).
- Copy of selected text grabs some surrounding HTML (and sometimes lot of it!).
- Interface is sluggish, compared to IE (browser), Netscape (mail).
- No completion of form fields. Very convenient on Google
(site:... in the beginning) or Bugzilla for the CC).
- No "fork" as in IE.
- Strange URL field: I want to modify an existing URL without
having to click 3 times, I want a shortcut to go to the URL
field (ctrl-d).
Mail
- No nsnotify.
- When a message is half loaded (or not loaded at all), the only way to see
the message is to copy it to an other folder.
- Misc bug related to tabs (can't close empty tab with ctrl-w,
window.open opens a new window, entering a URL creates a new
tab).
- When message opened in new window, can't delete it by just pression the delete key.
- No spell checker.
- Plenty of other minor bugs I could live with: no shortcut to
send messages, copy message to folder doesn't always work,
display problems in email editor, high memory consumption.
Some Positive Notes
- Tabs are great (the implementation is just full of bugs right now).
- I like the way Mozilla memorizes entire forms (just too bad there is
no completion for text fields).
- Displaying the favicon for each page is very useful when you have
multiple sites opened at once.
- Support multiple emails/profiles.
My conclusion
Mozilla still has a long way before becoming a product
that I will want to use and recommend.
