Bay Area '01 - Not only Silicon

The pictures on this page were all taken during the past few weeks, in the San Francisco bay area. Along the heavily crowded Silicon Valley, you will find numerous county and state parks full of enchanting spots that are just waiting to be discovered. So take your bike or put on your hiking boots and go ahead, "explore your world".

The first 4 pictures were taken in the Skyline Ridge Open Space (on Skyline, close to Saratoga). The next 4 shots are from a hike in the Mount Tamalpais State Park. The rest of the pictures were taken from the top of Black Mountain. This is one of the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Everything up there is just Luxe, calme et volupte. If you have not been there already, you really have to. And let me give you an advice: don't try to go by car, you won't be able to reach the very top and you'll miss everything along the way. By bike, climb Montebello (a wonderful ride!) and take your mountain bike as the last one or two miles are not paved. If you prefer to hike, go up through the Rancho San Antonio Open Space.
